Assessment
From a planned programme that is devised by the candidate on the course, the candidate will instruct a client safely and effectively through a range of kettlebell exercises.
Entry Requirement
The FTScotland Kettlebell Instructor Award holds an entry requirement of Level 2 Fitness Instructor.
Some experience of kettlebell classes or experience of using kettlebells is highly recommended.
The course requires physical exertion, and individual participation is essential; therefore, a degree of physical fitness is necessary.
There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learners should have basic skills in communication pitched at level 2.
Certification
On completion candidates will be awarded with an FTScotland Kettlebell Instructor certificate.
Progression Route
This qualification provides progression to the following qualifications:
- Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training.
- Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral.
- Active IQ Level 3 Award in Supporting Pre and Postnatal Clients with Exercise and Nutrition.
- Active IQ Level 2 Award in Instructing Circuits.
